Kesari Gota Tassel Pooja Thali

Gota lace and hanging tassels on a kesari base — gota being the flat metallic ribbon work that edges Rajasthani festive wear, here brought onto a pooja thali.

The tassels give the piece movement as it is carried during aarti, which is a small thing that reads well in photographs and in person. Holds roli, chawal, diya and prasad through Diwali pooja, Bhai Dooj, Karwa Chauth and wedding ceremonies.

Gota is applied by hand, so tassel length and trim placement vary slightly. Lamps, flowers and accessories shown are not included.
