Bandhani in crimson with mirror detailing, cut for a Size 1 Laddu Gopal. Bandhani is made by knotting the cloth in thousands of tiny points before dyeing, so the dye cannot reach the tied areas — the resulting field of small dots is a resist pattern, not a print.

It is one of the oldest surviving textile techniques in India, and no two lengths come out identical.
